Turnfest Promises Largest Athletic Display Ever
Frankfort on the Main hosts an international turnfest opened today during the London Olympic week. An estimated 20 000 to 25 000 turners compete with nearly 1 000 from the United States and large delegations from Germany France Italy England and Austro-Hungary. Japan and China also participate as fields are prepared for vast gymnastic events. The highlight foreseen is 25 000 participants performing identical exercises on a single field and signal.
