Monroe Countians Drown In Greenbrier

Three West Virginia men died in the Greenbrier River near Hinton after a drowning incident late Saturday. Frank L. Broyles 46 his 16 year old son Roger Lee Broyles of Lindside and Ricky Smith 22 of Sophia drowned while the brothers attempted to assist. Smith also drowned while helping. Funeral details for Frank and Roger Broyles are pending with survivors including Mary Hawks Broyles and three sons. Ricky Smith’s funeral arrangements awaited.
