Five Teens Returned to Mercer in Auto Theft Case
Walter Coleman George Long Howard Johnson Roy Barker and G L V Rickman of Charenton aged 16 to 20 were brought back to Mercer county from Huntington after arrest for stealing Sam Shaman's automobile at his Dixie Clothing Co. in Bluefield. Deputies Carter Brice and Thorn escorted them to jail for hearing. The Knight coach auto was stolen from Shaman's shop around 10 pm Saturday and tires found in Huntington were linked to a railroad platform theft in Charleston. The youths claimed they came to Bluefield seeking work. no trial date was set.
