Funeral for William J. Elliott former Mercer county sheriff will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian church with Rev. C. H. Phipps officiating before interment at Oakwood cemetery. Elliott, 47, shot himself in his First National Bank office, leaving notes to his wife about financial reverses and a request to bury him there.
