Plans for Huge Corpus Christi Chemical Plant
Akron Ohio July 10 Plans for construction of a 10 million dollar chemical manufacturing plant at Corpus Christi Texas by the Southern Alkali corporation were announced by H A Galt of the Columbia chemical division of Pittsburgh Plate Glass company. The Southern corporation, recently incorporated in Delaware, has 340 acres two miles from Corpus Christi and has options on natural gas for free use. The plant will produce soda ash and other products and will employ about 800 men.
