Suspect in 1995 murder nabbed in Virginia
Michael S. Underwood 47 of Bassett Virginia was indicted by the June 2021 McDowell County Grand Jury on first degree murder and felony conspiracy in the July 11 1995 death of Frank Frankie Lane 53 of Anawalt Lane was found near the Anawalt Post Office Underwood had been ordered to appear July 1 for arraignment before Circuit Court Judge Rudolph J Murensky and a capits warrant was issued when he failed to appear Prosecuting Attorney Brittany Puckett said Thursday Underwood was located by the Virginia State Police and the McDowell County prosecutor confirmed the arrest details
