In Walthill Nebraska on July 8 Mrs William Denshall of Lake Park Iowa and her daughter Ethel aged twenty five were instantly killed when a Burlington train struck their automobile. Mr Denshall and another daughter were badly injured in the crash.
Washington July 8 The senate lobby investigating committee questioned David Lamar on his market tactics and links to congress. He testified for hours that his goal was to trigger an explosion exposing Wall Street rivals and to reinstate Edward Lauterbach, denying wider motives. He admitted the game was Wall Street’s but said he was finished with it. The examination ended with Lamar and Lauterbach free to return if summoned again.
