Princeton Vietnam War Memorial to be dedicated on Fourth of July
The Princeton Vietnam War Memorial will be dedicated July 4 at 4 p.m. on 850 Mercer Street beside the Chapter 628 Vietnam Veterans of America building. Elaine Simmons notes the mural honors all five armed forces with a 30 by 60 foot depiction. The event features a ribbon cutting, national anthem, Amazing Grace, speakers State Senator Anita Skeens Caldwell and Judge Derrick Swope, performed by the Music Exchange, with light refreshments. The mural, conceived by Tom Acosta and Eldon Justice, is funded by Chapter 628 and donors, and marks the chapter’s 10th anniversary. American Electric Power and the city plan dusk to dawn lighting, with security by the chapter.
