Arrests Made After Wallet Theft Among Italian Travelers
Yesterday morning at the station a crowd of Italians awaiting train No. 18 to the east attracted theft concerns. Two men separated from the group. one flashed $51, then fled toward the hill. Police pursued but failed to catch him. Two self styled detectives located an Italian hiding near the hill and secured a warrant. They found the suspect at the hill, searched him, and brought him to the station. $26 in cash and about $3 in coins were recovered. The hopeful detectives were praised and eyed police careers. Telephonic links with Meyboury established a lead on a man matching the description.
