Porterfield files for 27th District reelection in Mercer County
Mercer County Republican Del. Eric Porterfield filed to run for reelection to the 27th House District as primary ballots narrow a field of candidates. He joins incumbents and other Republicans including Joe Ellington Marty Gearheart and Doug Smith with John Shott not seeking reelection. A May 12 primary will determine the three candidates advancing to November in West Virginia. The lone Democrat had not yet filed as of Friday.
