The Bluefield police court handed out fines to several offenders after a night of melee and misadventure. Josef Merlachy paid 6.80 for a street insult. Morris paid 4.80 for the brawl. Nelson Lewis faced 11.80 after a punch skirmish with Officer Oliver and later sat down, weather permitting, in defeat.
