Funeral services are planned for Ronald Lee Davis 18 of Glade Hill Virginia who was killed Thursday night when struck by a car while hitchhiking on U S Route 81 near Wytheville Virginia. The service at 2 p m at Honaker Funeral Chapel will be conducted by Rev Milton Boyd with burial in Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain near Honaker. He was the son of Robert and Viola Tiller Davis and is survived by one brother Danny, paternal grandparents Robert Davis Sr of Chilhowse and George Owens and wife of Vansant maternal grandparents. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.

Two truck drivers were injured when a tractor trailer overturned on U S Route 460 near the Glen Lyn bridge across the New River in Giles County on Friday night. Richard C. Toney and Glen H. Grogan was ejected over the bridge railing to the river bank about 20 feet below. the bridge wingwalls suffered major damage.

Two of four juveniles who escaped from Leckie Youth Camp in McDowell County were arrested on residential burglary charges after a Pageton home robbery where about 100 dollars in cash a stereo tape player and clothing were taken.
