Coal prices and delivery offers from Raven Coal Co. and Wade's Pharmacy appear alongside notices on a dance at the Masonic Hall and an Elks event. Other items include corrected Colonial ad dates, Canton jade linen orders, thrift meetings, and a sheriff-like run of listings from Grahams Grocery to Woodfield WV.
A special meeting will be held at Red Men's Hall at 8 p m on Tuesday January 18 chaired by T J Evans. The agenda is described as of great importance to the federation and local labor circles.
Flames were extinguished before city firemen arrived and no material damage occurred. The Y W W C A directors meet tonight at 7 30 for the regular January session, the last meeting of the year. Invitations go out for a reception at the Masonic Temple Tuesday from 3 to 6 PM hosted by Mrs H T Riddick Mrs A L Rhodes and Miss Lyde Baldwin.

Dr Thomas E Peery and Dr T Garrett Smith headed to New York for postgraduate study through February 1. Herman Zeffs, visiting Texas, is a Greater Texas Oil Company stockholder. J W Shields of Pocahontas Land Company, based in Roanoke, stopped in Bluefield en route home from Bramwell for Roanoke business.
The remains of Mrs. Patrick Harman, a longtime Bluefield resident, will be brought for burial after dying Sunday at age 74. She was born in Gray son county Virginia, widow of Patrick Harman who died in 1914, and mother of twelve with fifty eight grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren. Funeral at Hawkins Undertaking Parlors on Bland Street at 1:30 this afternoon, with interment at Walnut Grove cemetery.
The annual meeting of the stock holders will be held at the Virginian Hotel in Lynchburg Virginia on Wednesday February 2 1922 at 10 oclock a m for the purpose of electing a board of directors and transacting any other business. James A McQuail secretary.

The Kiwanis Club of Bluefield met yesterday for one of its best sessions. A physicians debate on flu prevention lasted about thirty minutes and drew laughter. Business was light, attendance under fifty percent, few visitors, no new members.

In Clydebank England 18 month old Jennie Cunningham died from scalding after a cup of hot tea was upset. The incident is recorded as a fatal scald in a domestic accident.
