Two McDowell County men jailed after Bradshaw store raid
James Webb and Allan Bruce Canellas, both 18 of Raysal, were jailed in Welch on charges of attempted armed robbery and armed robbery stemming from a morning break in at Island Creek Company Store Number 6 and a Bartley Post Office heist. They were arrested without resistance at the Canellas home in Bartley after noon. Deputies said the men entered the store at opening, held three workers at gunpoint, and fled three miles into the woods before hitting the Bartley Post Office and escaping with $127.

Monongalia County prosecutor David L. Solomon identified Eugene Paul Clawson as the suspect in the 1970 dismemberment slayings of two West Virginia University coeds.
