Conductor Killed In Norfolk & Western Accident
Information reaches us of the death of ER L Donoven a Norfolk Western freight conductor. He fell from a freight car at Lipscomb on Shenandoah division while on shift and died from injuries. Donoven, long tied to Norfolk & Western, was popular with officials and coworkers. He slipped while aiming to drop a car on the Lipscomb siding, and the wheels crushed him. The accident occurred Wednesday morning and he died later that night at 10 o clock. The body was taken to Shenandoah for interment.
