Death of Octogenarian Reverend in McDowell County
News from Bluefield reports the death of Rev. Rezin Vermillion Godbey aged 85 at his home in Cucumber McDowell County. Born June 2 1822 in Pulaski Virginia he preached for over fifty years until a paralytic stroke. Survived by one daughter from first marriage and three sons three daughters from second marriage plus five others including Squire E P Godbey Charles O Godbey and George S Godbey. Interment is planned for Crockett's Cave in Tazewell County Virginia.
