Power Restored Slowly as Storm Blair Hits Bluefield Area
Crews from several states labored in freezing weather to restore power to about 18,800 customers by Wednesday afternoon after Winter Storm Blair knocked out electricity across parts of West Virginia and Virginia. Mercer County remained the hardest hit with 5,794 outages, while 1,264 locations needed repairs across the service area and estimated restoration times aimed to bring 90 percent back by night.
