Brooks Cline of Panther Creek and Saeger is sought by McDowell county and Norfolk and Western officials for a highway robbery at the Pocahontas division. R. Ratcliff, railway suction foreman, was struck and robbed of his watch and pocketbook early Saturday. Ratcliff identified Cline as the assailant before he fled toward War Creek. Authorities comb the countryside as a new manhunt joins the effort, marking a second robbery on the division after Bluestone Junction incident months ago.

Survived by husband W W Walker five daughters and a brother, services to be held at Welker residence, led by the Grace Luther Church in Pearisburg.

Douglas Garwood 18 a Pocahontas High School student was admitted to Sluofield sanitarium after a vehicle wreck near Falls Mountain en route to Bluefield. He suffered facial lacerations but no fractures. Passenger Clinton Mantard escaped unharmed. Garwood is nephew of J B Crawford Pocahontas Fuel secretary and resides at the Crawford home.
