Somerset Pa February 26 Sheriff Pred Hare called jury panel to report Monday to start the trial of State Policeman Anthony Banute second of seven Uniontown peace officers charged with beating to death Frank C Monaghan. Trooper Stacy Gunderman remained in jail where he had been taken upon his conviction of second degree murder on the same charge last night. The 25 year old trooper awaits sentence by Supreme Court Justice George W Maxey. He faces possible imprisonment of 10 to 20 years. Banute was Gunderman s superior officer on the morning last September the state contends the 64 year old Uniontown hotel keeper was killed in the Fayette county Bertillon room during questioning about the cutting of Detective Johnny Wall.
