Man in Huntington shoots self over suspected infidelity
W. R. Ballard formerly of Bluefield now in Huntington attempted suicide with a thirty eight calibre revolver. The bullet struck his side and lodged near the back. He was wounded after learning his wife, widow of Dr. Gardner, had left home. Ballard told bystanders he hoped to recover and that his wife might be faithful.
