The last of six victims in a Sunday night eight person wreck on Brushfork road was identified as Edith Bobbitt 31 of Bluc eld. Philegar Harris 21 remained in extremely critical condition at St Luke's hospital while Arthur Buckland recovered from injuries. The group had met at the Top Hat Grill and planned to visit Pinnacle Rock cafe, with Buckland recalling drinking three or four beers.

John Trigg 53, a North Side coal peddler, waived hearing on 4 8 manslaughter charges in the death of Dolores Stinson, a six year old hit by a truck yesterday. He was bound over to the grand jury under $5,000 bond. Earlier he was fined 100 and jailed for days on hit and run charges after a Saturday appearance before Magistrate W W McNeal. A 13 year old witness recalled a five year old girl’s testimony. Dolores suffered a fractured skull. funeral plans await the child’s mother from Dayton Ohio.

Washington reports President Roosevelt asked Congress to provide about $3.81 billion for 1941 42 defense needs including air corps and fortifications. Budget Director Harold D. Charleston West Virginia February 24 the Neely administration proposed a statutory state planning board by bill to work with federal agencies on long term planning for highways airways parks cities forests and rural lands. Man Killed in Hit-Run. Roads Blocked in Search
Police and citizens blocked routes from Tazewell to Bluefield and Lebanon after a hit-run killed John Nipper a 60 year old farmhand.
