Joe Higginbotham was hanged in the Lynchburg jail corridor at 8 19 am after being convicted of a terrible crime. The body was later sent to University College of Medicine.

Mercer Hornet reports three Herald daughters Jolly 15 Mattie 13 and Tena 11 fled last week to Hinton after abuse by their father and stepmother.
