Walter Austin, colored, was yesterday held for the grand jury by Squire Godbey on a charge of assault against a colored girl said to be twelve or thirteen. The crime occurred on Scott street while Austin alias Eugene Crockett was in the house with the girl and no others present. Bail was set at 5000 dollars. he remained in Princeton jail awaiting grand jury appearance.
