Delegates for Rock and Jumping Branch districts were chosen at Feb 20, 1904 meetings in Mercer county. Reports list committees and delegates for state, congressional, and senatorial conventions, plus resolutions supporting Hanna, Sanders and Hughes nomination.
The McDowell County Republican Committee will meet at the secretary's office in Welch at 10 a m on Saturday March 5 1904 to call a county convention nominate a county ticket and select delegates to the State nominating convention in Wheeling July 12 1904 and to the Sixth Senatorial District Convention.
