Mercer School hosts a Band Parents Association meeting at 7 30 PM to discuss the band trip to Winchester in April. Plans cover attendee numbers clothing and supervision of students and other trip details to ensure proper conduct.

Seventeen Princeton High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society at a ceremony in the school auditorium. New members include Patricia Harvey Helen Kniffin Ted Gillespie Norma Asbury Gayle Shumaker Patricia Stewart Joyce Hill Odessa Johnston Sylvia Dowley Wien Shortie Steve Bird and others. Alvin Wiggins presided and awarded a sophomore loving cup to Steve McClain.
Emerson Shrewsbury faces jail for non support of his wife and six month old child. He was fined 5 dollars in costs and jailed 12 months in lieu of bonds totaling 900 dollars. He may be released by posting bonds equal to monthly support payments.
Mrs Clark Thornton returns to Princeton from a several week stay in Louisville Kentucky with daughter Mrs James Salango and family. Mr and Mrs Salango and daughter Bonnie with guest Van Stricklan accompanied her home returning to Louisville yesterday. Carl Keatley of Norfolk Virginia, son of Mrs C L Kesecker Reynolds Avenue, accepts manager post at B F Goodrich Store in Welch West Virginia and will move family soon.
The Hy Shy Ny Sunday School of Immanuel Baptist Church has postponed its meeting until March 8.
Joe Short, public relations manager of the West Virginia Motor Trucker Association, spoke to the Princeton Athens Kiwanis Club. He summarized key points of Senate Bill 1920 changing rate setting from the Interstate Commerce Commission to carriers themselves and showed a film titled If the People Know.
The Knob School PTA hosts its nineteenth Fathers Night open house drawing mums and dads from 6:30 to 9:00. Visitors view class work and art displays marking progress across subjects while PTA officers report on meetings and finances. The event honors Elizabeth Steart's class for attendance and notes contributions from the Ways and Means committee and donors.
