Rebels suffer heavy losses. about fifty killed. Newport transport brings word General Miller holds Jaro Molo. Negros Island natives offer allegiance to the United States. four native commissioners arrive to endorse. General Otis says Miller can maintain position. Negros and Cebu reports look encouraging.
News from Cayenne reports a clash between French and Brazilian commissions patrolling the interior forests of Guiana. Authorities in Cayenne say 200 troops were sent as reinforcements after the incident, with officials seeking to suppress details.
Representatives of farmers, mechanics, ministers and teachers from across the country gather at Tuskegee for the annual Negro conference to hear Booker T.
