A 44 year old McDowell County man Joe Shotto of Carswell was killed Tuesday night around 7 30 at the Keystone mine of the Eastern Gas and Fuel Association. He was a shuttle car operator at the mine since 1942 and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife four sons two daughters three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services are set for Friday at 2 pm at Houston Methodist Church in Kimball with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The body will be returned to the residence at 2 pm today from Bennett Funeral Home in Northfork.
