Relaxed COVID rules lift restaurant and school caps in West Virginia

First B.1.351 COVID-19 case found in Southwest Va
The Virginia Health Department identified the first case of the B.1.351 SARS-CoV-2 variant in an adult resident of Southwest Virginia who recently traveled internationally. Absentee voters in Va. 38th district no witness signature
Virginia voters in the 38th Senatorial District may cast absentee ballots without a witness signature for the March 23 special election. Tazewell County Registrar Brian Earls noted the waiver follows pandemic rules first used in 2020 and 2020 confirmed. district covers Bland, Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, Pulaski, Tazewell counties and Norton and Radford cities plus parts of Montgomery Smyth Wise. Guns Divide State Capitols as Protests Grow
In Montana a new law lets permit holders carry concealed guns in the Statehouse reversing a long ban. Utah also passed a permitless concealed carry law for its Capitol and statewide locations. Twenty one states allow some form of guns in capitols, with eight permitting only concealed weapons inside and two allowing only open carry.
