Boosting Drive Seeks 350 Members at Lunch Hour Push
One hundred and one men joined Bluefield Chamber of Commerce as part of a three day campaign to reach 500 members. Eighty eight were accepted by directors at a noon meeting, with over 240 total after new applicants. Boosters target 350 by lunch today, needing 150 more, with five teams contributing thirty each. Booster teams meet at the Matz hotel at ten, then rush two and a half hours before 12:30 lunch at Busy Bee. The Lyric and Grand theatres will display reasons to join to inform the public.
