Wanted man arrested after crash into Dry Fork Creek
A McDowell County man was arrested on a Virginia warrant after his Chevrolet Monte Carlo plunged into Dry Fork Creek near Cane Break. The vehicle floated about half a mile as crews from Berwind Volunteer Fire Department and the McDowell County Sheriff's Office responded to an 11 16 am call. Creek levels were elevated due to recent melting snow and sleet, bringing it near flood stage.
