Road Accident Claims Life Of Montcalm Man
A Montcalm man, 50 year old William Harrison Faw, died after his car struck a rear end of a track on a Bluefield highway bridge when smoke from a passing locomotive blinded him. The crash occurred on Easley Bridge as an Appalachian Power truck slowed suddenly. Faw, owner of a Montcalm garage, was pronounced dead on arrival at Bluefield Sanitarium. He left a wife, parents, three sons and one daughter. The incident was Mercer County’s first highway fatality of 1955.
