Fire damages two dwellings at 220 Cherry Street

Hilton Crouch of the Dillinger gang was sentenced to twenty years after pleading guilty to participating in the $24,000 State Bank of Massachusetts Avenue robbery in Indianapolis. Crouch, a former auto racer, was captured in Chicago on December 23 while police hunted Dillinger gang members. Police said Crouch identified Dillinger as part of the gang.
