San Diego California February 17 Apparent in good spirits Dr Louise L Jacobs of Camp Kearney hospital staff tonight was in county jail accused in a grand jury indictment of the murder of Fritzi Mann a beautiful young dancer whose body clad in only a few light garments was found on the beach at Torrey Pines near this city on January 15 The case has occupied police and county authorities continuously since that date Dr Jacobs is now under arrest in connection with the girls death for the second time He was taken by the police early in their investigation and later released Chief of Police Patrick asserting there was no evidence that he had caused Miss Manns demise When he was arrested by the county authorities today he appeared nervous but on reaching the jail quickly recovered his composure and readily consented to for new paper photographers His attorney James E Wadham said the physician would come through his approaching trial all right He added that he expected the trial might start within a month Dr Jacobs said he would rather go before a jury and obtain complete vindication than go through life with the least suspicion attached to him There is as chance of convicting him as would be of convicting me in this case
