Two Vehicle Crash Sends Four to Hospital in Bluefield
Emergency responders rushed four people from a Wednesday morning crash on U S Route 460 in Bluefield. Evelyn B Canterbury, 75, and her husband, both of Bluefield, along with Bernard Helmandollar, 71, and another unnamed occupant were taken to Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Canterbury and his wife were kept overnight for observation. Helmandollar released after treatment. Both cars declared total losses.

Jean Neal of Bluefield, 62, was one of three $25,000 winners in the West Virginia Lottery Cash25 Drawing held Friday Feb. 11. She plans to deposit the money, saying she plays the lottery regularly and avoids going overboard. Neal often shops at Grant's Supermarket and is friends with owner Randall Grant and managers Greg Bob and Tom. Her son James works as a pressman at the Bluefield Daily Telegraph.
