Elmer Murphy son of Mr and Mrs R B Murphy of Saramore was severely injured last Saturday while coupling care at Pocahontas Fuel company mines his foot was crushed Dr Percy Fox treated him and he was moved to Bluefield sanitarium He is well known at the local high school and many friends regret the accident.

The Bluefield Airplane Model League of America held its first kit Baby Bog contest at Beaver High School gym. Over two dozen youths competed under Major Otto Comp with Jarius Collins Jr and S F Geiger watching.
