Regional jail bills decline in Mercer County
Mercer County continues to reduce its monthly regional jail bill through the combined efforts of the day report center the prosecuting attorney's office and circuit court County Administrator Vicky Reed noted the peak January 2022 bill of 139,929.00 and cited mid 2023 figures such as 106,117.30 in July 2023 and 96,616.86 in December 2023 with January following lower than prior peaks.
