Bluefield State May Resume Two Year Degrees
Bluefield State University may again offer two year associate degrees under Senate Bill 602 co sponsored by Sen Chandler Swope. Tim Nelson BSU assistant to the president says changes to the higher education system around 2003 reduced two year programs as legislators shifted toward four year emphasis.

Campus carry Bill heads to public hearing in West Virginia
The House Judiciary Committee opens a public hearing on the Campus Self-Defense Act allowing licensed individuals to carry concealed firearms on most college campuses.
