Hubert C. Reynolds a Virginian railway engineer was killed when his six car train collided head on with a 100 car eastbound freight two miles west of Roanoke station on a Sunday afternoon. He jumped from the engine and was crushed beneath a coal car he was pushing. Reynolds leaves a wife Pearl and son Lewis C. plus five brothers and four sisters.
