Harris of Williamson on a charge of transporting eleven and one half gallons of whiskey. Bail set at 1000 each. if posted, a further hearing could be granted. Both men held in city jail after arrest by city police and federal agents on Commerce Street. their automobile was confiscated.

Whitethorn Fathers Night Draws Large School Crowd
A large attendance marked Fathers Night at Whitethorn school under the Whitethorn Parent-Teacher Association. Mrs Mayer Marcus presided and highlighted the association’s year of work. Pupils from Ray Matz school presented dances and a series of living valentines with elaborate stage props and costumes. A burlesque court scene, a Valentine frame, and various period costumes entertained, followed by a social hour with refreshments hosted by Mrs Goodwin Schlossberg and Mrs Moffett McCue.

Two Miners Die in Private Sissonville Coal Site
