Salt Lake Feb 14 Judge Jacob Blair surveyor general of Utah died suddenly at age eighty. Blair represented West Virginia in Congress for two terms and served as minister to Costa Rica. He was a longtime member of the Wyoming and Utah supreme courts and held similar positions in Utah.
Sister Mary Joseph of the Convent of the Visitation Parkersburg West Virginia died after a long illness of consumption at about age 60 She had been an inmate of the convent for 25 years and was formerly Miss Owens sister of the late Thomas Owens of Wheeling.
In Milwaukee on February 14 a survey found over two hundred residents who believed they were divorced remain married because divorce judgments were not entered. Authorities report more than 150 cases lacking docketing in recent years, making many divorces invalid until filed.
