Welch City Council will meet in March to discuss splitting Ward 3 to create two voting precincts. The plan starts at John Summers’ residence on Virginia Avenue, crossing Elkhorn River and Woodmont toward Blakely Field, without changing the city government structure. Zeb Herndon will draft the legal notice and the March session will review the proposal with a June municipal election in view.
