The West Virginia Public Service Commission fines Suddenlink $2,242,000 for unsafe, inadequate service and reduced maintenance. The order requires a West Virginia call center and cites decreased staffing and ignored customer complaints after public hearings.
Bluefield area transit driver Della Clark was lauded by the City Board for stopping her bus to shield a visually impaired passenger wandering on Bluefield Avenue. City Manager Cecil Marson called her the epitome of a great employee after she redirected the bus and activated flashers to keep him safe.
Charleston reports Omicron cases and active infections decline. Gov Justice notes surge may have peaked as county red zones shrink and booster uptake rises. Seven day case count nears 677, hospitalizations remain around 906 with deaths still occurring.
