Ring Lost Since 1949 Reunited With Alumna in Georgia
Abie Cook of Alpharetta Georgia exchanged her Bowdon High School Class of 1948 ring with a friend in 1949. It resurfaced after 43 years in a Warner Robins garden, found by the Haynes family who identified Mrs. Cook from initials carved on the ruby and gold ring.

Virginia Senate OKs courtroom cameras and tougher drunken driving rule
A Senate committee approved statewide courtroom cameras and a law to suspend drivers licenses for drunken drivers awaiting trial. The panel also backed expanding the death penalty to murder of court officials and witnesses and repealing a surrogate motherhood contract law. The vote on cameras was 14 to 1 with Judge William Sweeney supporting the statewide move.

The trip included performances at Notre Dame Cathedral and sightseeing on the Danube, Eiffel Tower, and Versailles.
