The criminal courtroom observed one minute of silence for Mercer Bar Association member Clark M Thornton whose funeral occurred in the afternoon. Roy Phelps’s forgery trial was postponed and Junior Basil Shorter’s armed robbery case was postponed to today. Myrtle Bud was named guardian for Chester Lee Graham and posted $100 bond.
