Woman charged with child neglect in teen death

Ellen Jean Lewis 39 of Jenkin Jones was arrested on three felony counts of child neglect creating risk for bodily injury and one felony count of child neglect resulting in death in connection with the Feb 2 shooting death of a 17-year-old McDowell County juvenile. The gun was at the residence and several juveniles were present including the victim. Lewis was arraigned and held in McDowell County Jail on 10,000 bond with a preliminary hearing expected within 10 days.

Kenneth Dwayne Eaves, 19, Bluefield, was bound over to the Mercer County Grand Jury on first degree murder and conspiracy charges in the Dec 14 2007 killing of 28 year old William Jerome Flack at Packer's nightclub Green Valley.
