Lamar Miner was killed instantly at 12 30 pm when a rail supply car broke loose and collided with his motor. Reliford, 39, suffered head and chest injuries and was among two motors pulling coal from the Herti don mine to the Lamar tipple. Reliford, born September 22 1907 at St Paul Virginia, left a wife Clara Grizzle and children Werner Geneva Jackie Nancy Louise Bilis Ronnie, plus two sisters Maude Martin and Dean Phillips and brother Emler Reliford of Chicago. Funeral arrangements set for Sunday at St Paul with burial in the family cemetery.
