Welch warns dog owners to license all pets
City Police Officer Watha Eddins issued a second warning that all Welch dogs must be licensed whether tied penned or free. Unlicensed dogs face 15 days impoundment and owners pay upkeep and sale advertising costs. Dogs found running during Brown's Creek quarantine will be shot. Licenses available at city hall assessor or from Officer Eddins with city county tags. Fees are 1.50 for male and 3.00 for female for 1941.

Accused Slayer to Be Returned from New Orleans

End of an Era as Moundsville Streetcar Service Closes
In Moundsville West Virginia on February 6 the Cooperative Transit Company sent out three cars for the Graveyard Run marking the end of fifty years of street car service. Civic clubs joined the farewell ride to the McMechen car barn with Jess D Merple at the controls of the last trolley.
