Charleston W V Feb 6 Records of several transactions by the state purchasing department were turned over to the senate committee probing the department to fully examine charges by M E Brown of Huntington. Chairman C Frank Millender said public hearings likely resume tomorrow night and Brown a discharged employee will be recalled to testify. Brown testified last night that the department ignored low bids and that irregularities occurred in other contracts. A closed meeting heard Senator Alvin J Barnhart offer his services as counsel. the Senate had already ordered the investigation and eliminated counsel fees.
