Robbery In Roanoke. Keller Drugged By Supposed Friends

E C Keller, a Bluefield native employed by the Norfolk and Western railroad, drew $140 at a Roanoke bank and later was robbed of $120 by two former railroad men, Sam Whittaker and Will Myrtle. Police recovered $60, and Whittaker and Myrtle were jailed awaiting a preliminary hearing. Keller suspects drugging during his city travels and remembers little of the incident. Lucy Herbert’s Ernest Avenue home is noted in the investigation.
