Farmer Kills Man in Cards Row at Clintwood
E W Farmer, a former Bluefield resident, shot Robert L Baker three times during a card game in Clintwood Dickinson county Virginia. The incident left Baker with three bullet wounds and died within thirty minutes. Farmer surrendered to a deputy sheriff and awaits further proceedings as Clintwood townsfolk feared lynching but authorities placed guards at the jail.
